The Smart Repeater is an advanced RF support system that enhances communication and diagnostics for locomotive remote control operations. It provides seamless transmission of messages between the OCU and locomotive while delivering improved radio technology and diagnostic coverage compared to legacy systems.
The repeater helps detect faulty transmitters, ensuring operational safety and minimizing downtime. It supports up to two channels of UHF or VHF frequency pairs, extending the range of Beltpack™ and LCS-III remote control systems. Each Smart Repeater provides coverage within a 2-mile diameter. The operator should remain within 1 mile of the repeater for optimal stability.
With RemoteIQ™ Rail platform integration, users can access detailed data, including part numbers, software versions, RSSI levels, and packet counts for each device across the railyard. This feature aids in proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
The Smart Repeater sets a new communication and diagnostic efficiency standard, helping rail operators maintain peak operational performance and reliability.
