EC/LO Pro™ Model R
The EC/LO Pro™ Model R Machine Control Unit is a rugged locomotive-mounted controller designed for European rail operators who require dependable remote control technology for safe and efficient shunting operations. Built for demanding railway environments, the Model R combines functional safety, reliable wireless communication and a modular architecture to maximize uptime while supporting future upgrades.
Third-party assessed by TÜV Nord and certified for safety functions up to SIL 3 in accordance with EN 50239, the Model R provides locomotive control for throttle, reverser, independent brake and emergency stop. Its redundant hardware and software architecture, robust RF communication and rapid field configuration help operators improve safety, productivity and long-term system availability. Backward compatibility with TH-EC/LO Rosebox systems also simplifies retrofit projects.
CRA-ready versions feature encrypted communication suitable for EN 62443 SL-T 2 and open networks in accordance with EN 50159, helping rail operators prepare for the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) while maintaining secure and reliable operations.
