| Cattron Group Announces Mining Division Organization Sharpsville, Pa. – (29, August 2005) Following the company’s recent acquisition of Montreal-based mining products company, SIAMtec, Cattron Group International announced today an internal reorganization and the creation of a global mining products group. Cattron Group International is a leading manufacturer of remote control products and professional services for the industrial, mining, commercial mobile and railroad markets. The SIAMtec acquisition expanded Cattron’s mining product lines currently produced in the US and Canada. The new mining products group will be headed by Eric Brouillette, Vice President, Marketing and Sales – Mining, reporting to Cattron Group’s CEO. Previously, Brouillette was Director of Operations at SIAMtec and since 1994 has held several positions with Noranda Inc. Cattron acquired SIAMtec from Noranda Inc. and STAS Ltd. Brouillette’s career with Noranda included positions as Technical Services Superintendent, Technical Services Supervisor, Automation Engineer and Instrumentation Supervisor during which he achieved certification as a Black Belt in the 6-Sigma program. Also as part of the reorganization, Paul-Andre Corbeil was named Engineering Manager for mining products reporting to Thomas Vaughn, Vice President of Engineering for Cattron Group International. Regional Sales Manager for Mining Products, Scott Lowdermilk and Product Manager, Richard Lariviere, will report to Brouillette. “The reorganization is part of our continuing strategy to develop a strong international group focused on underground and surface mining,” said John Paul, President and CEO, Cattron Group International. “Creating the mining products group emphasizes our portfolio of quality products, our commitment to the mining industry and our goal to offer the most comprehensive array of technically advanced systems and world class services possible.” Cattron Group’s mining products include radio remote control systems
for LHD (Load-Haul-Dump) vehicles, continuous miners, mobile feeder-breakers,
mobile roof bolters and continuous haulage equipment. In addition, they
provide underground communication and data transmission systems, automated
haulage systems for underground mining trucks and LHD’s, portable
video systems and tele-remote systems for controlling equipment via TCP/IP
internet connection. |
